Our Mission Statement

"Following Jesus and inspired by St Joseph, we love, learn and work with all our hearts."

At St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, Christ is at the centre of all that we do. Inspired by the example of St Joseph, we strive to create a loving, joyful and welcoming school where every child is known, valued and encouraged to flourish.

Our mission is rooted in the words of St Paul:

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord."
Colossians 3:23

These words remind us that everything we do matters. We encourage our children to use the gifts God has given them, to persevere when things are difficult, to care for others and to give their best in all that they do.

Our Values

Our mission is brought to life through three simple values that every member of our school family can understand and live out:

LOVE

We follow Jesus by loving God and one another.

We show kindness, compassion, forgiveness and respect. We recognise the dignity of every person and make sure everyone knows that they belong.

LEARN

We use the gifts of God has given us to learn and grow.

We are curious, enthusiastic and ready to learn. We celebrate everyone's achievements and encourage one another to discover and develop our God-given talents.

GIVE YOUR BEST

We work with all our hearts

Like St Joseph, we understand the importance of hard work, courage and perseverance. We try our best, learn from our mistakes and keep going when things are challenging. 

Our Catholic Ethos

Our Catholic faith is at the heart of life at St. Joseph's. It shapes the way we learn, worship and serve and care for one another.

Following the teachings of Jesus and inspired by St. Joseph, we seek to create a community where faith is not simply something we learn about, but something we live.

Through prayer, liturgy, Religious Education, Catholic Social Teaching and our everyday relationships, we help our children to recognise God's love and understand their responsibility to share that love with others.

We want every child who leaves St. Joseph's to know that they are loved by God, to recognise their own unique gifts and worth, and to have the confidence and compassion to use those gifts to make a positive difference in the world.
